നഗരത്തിലെ മലയാളികളോടുള്ള റെയില്‍വേയുടെ അവഗണനയില്‍ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് നാളെ സിറ്റി റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ ധര്‍ണ;പങ്കെടുക്കാന്‍ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്ത് കെ.കെ.ടി.എഫ്.

ബഹുമാന്യ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ,
പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി കൃത്യസമയത്തു യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടുകയും ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് മലയാളികളായുള്ള യാത്രക്കാർക്കു സൗകര്യപ്രദമായ സമയത്തു യെശ്വന്ത്പുര റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നിന്ന് കണ്ണൂർക്ക് പ്രതിദിന സർവീസ് നടത്തി വന്നിരുന്ന കണ്ണൂർ എക്സ്പ്രസ്സ്‌ ട്രെയിനിന്റെ പുറപ്പെടുന്ന സ്റ്റേഷൻ ബനസ്‌വാഡി യിലേക്ക് അകാരണമായി മാറ്റിയ വിവരം ഏവരും അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുമല്ലോ.

മലയാളികൾ ധാരാളം അധിവസിക്കുന്ന ഉത്തര, പശ്ചിമ ബാംഗളൂരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന് യാത്രക്കാരെ ദുരിതത്തിലാക്കി, യാതൊരു വിധ അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ കൂടെ ഇല്ലാത്ത, നാളിതുവരെ ഒരു ട്രെയിൻ പോലും യഥാസമയത്തു പുറപ്പെടുകയോ എത്തിച്ചേരുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാത്ത, എത്തിച്ചേരാൻ ട്രെയിൻ ചാർജിലുമധികം ടാക്സി /ഓട്ടോ കൾക്ക് നൽകി മാനസികവും, ശാരീരികവും, സാമ്പത്തികവുമായ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്ന ബാനസവാടി എന്ന സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് കണ്ണൂർ എക്സ്പ്രസ്സ്‌ ട്രെയിൻ മാറ്റിയതിനെതിരെ ബംഗളുരുവിൽ ഉള്ള എല്ലാ മലയാളി സംഘടനകളുടെയും സഹകരണത്തോടെ കെ കെ ടി എഫ് പ്രത്യക്ഷ സമര പരിപാടികളിലേക്ക് കടക്കുകയാണ്.

ഈ വരുന്ന ശനിയാഴ്ച, ഫെബ്രുവരി 16ന് വൈകുന്നേരം 5 മണിക്ക് സിറ്റി റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നടത്തുന്ന പ്രതിഷേധ ധർണയിൽ ഏവരുടെയും സാന്നിധ്യം ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

 

റെയിൽവേ മന്ത്രാലയം കേരളീയരോട് കാണിക്കുന്ന വിശിഷ്യാ ബാംഗ്ലൂർ മലയാളികളോട് കാണിക്കുന്ന അവഗണനയെ തുടർന്ന് നിരവധി പ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു
എന്നാൽ തുടർന്നും മലയാളികളോട് റെയിൽവേ മന്ത്രാലയം ചിറ്റമ്മ നയം കാട്ടുന്ന സമീപനമാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നത്…
അതിൻറെ ഒടുവിലത്തെ ഉദാഹരണമാണ് യശ്വന്ത്പുരത്ത് നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന കണ്ണൂർ എക്സ്പ്രസ് ബാനസവാടി യിലേക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച മുതൽ മാറ്റിയത്……
ഈ നടപടിക്കെതിരെ ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലെ മലയാളികളുടെ യാത്രാ പ്രശ്നത്തിനായി രൂപം നൽകിയ കെ കെ ടി എഫ് എന്ന മലയാളികളുടെ പൊതു വേദിയുടെ നേതാക്കൾ റെയിൽവേ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ പെടുത്തുകയും
നിവേദനം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടും യാതൊരു പരിഹാരവും കാണാത്തതിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലെ മുഴുവൻ മലയാളി സംഘടനകളുടെയും സഹകരണത്തോടെ കൂടി
ഈ വരുന്ന ശനിയാഴ്ച പതിനാറാം തീയതി വൈകുന്നേരം 5 മണിക്ക് ബാംഗ്ലൂർ സിറ്റി റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് കെ കെ ടി എഫ് യുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഒരു ധർണസമരം നടത്തുവാൻ വേണ്ടി തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്..

 

ദിനംപ്രതി ആയിരക്കണക്കായ യാത്രക്കാർ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രസ്തുത ട്രെയിനിന്റെ സ്ഥലം മാറ്റവും സമയ മാറ്റവും നിരവധി യാത്രക്കർ ദുരിതത്തിലായിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ തീരുമാനം പിൻവലിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ട് നടത്തുന്ന ധർമ്മ സമരത്തിൽ ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലെ മുഴുവൻ മലയാളി സംഘടനകളുടെ പ്രതിനിധികളും അതുപോലെതന്നെ യാത്രക്കാരും വിദ്യാർത്ഥി വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനികളും ഈ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു ഈ ധർണ്ണ വിജയിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നു വിനീതമായി അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

Bangalore: Passengers travelling out of Bengaluru in the Yeshwanthpur–Kannur Express were caught in a fix when the railways took a sudden decision to change the origin of the train from Yeshwantpur station to Banaswadi station, which is more than 10 km away. Boarding the Kannur Express has become now a matter of great discomfort for commuters, with the railway department’s most recent decision. About a week ago, on Feb 4, the South-Western Railway shifted the terminal of train number 16527 / 16528 Yeshwanthpur–Kannur, from Yeshwanthpur to Banaswadi. Commuters are worried now as the Banaswadi station which lacks connectivity. BMTC buses are a distant dream, leaving passengers at the mercy of auto rickshaws and the new taxi option.

The train connects Bengaluru to several regions in northern Kerala including Kasargod, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur. Bus fares between Kannur and Bengaluru range from Rs. 900 to Rs. 1200 making it a far more expensive option than a train journey which costs less than Rs. 400.

Yeshwanthpur, unlike Banaswadi, is also connected by metro making it more convenient for passengers. Further, around 40% passengers of the train board the train at Yeshwantpur. Banaswadi station has a lot of potential, but lacks even basic amenities, with members of the public dealing with all sorts of hurdles from the lack of connectivity to the absence of signage on the main road and poorly-lit streets.

Commuters are unimpressed by the railways’ decision to change the origin of the train since north-Kerala bound trains will only stop at Carmelaram station from now. Trains travelling to southern Kerala stop at KR Puram, Baiyappanahalli and Cantonment stations as well.

Against the shifting of boarding station of the train, KKTF (Karnataka-Kerala Travellers Forum) is conducting Dharna on 16-02-2019 Saturday, at 4:30 PM at Bengaluru City Railway station, along with other socio-cultural associations. In solidarity, BMF- Bangalore Malayali Friends is participating in the protest against the decision taken by Indian railway which is affecting many. We request all to participate in the same and to assemble at the venue on time.
